Alex J Coleman is a hip hop artist from Baltimore Maryland. He first got into hip hop when his older brother played Cd's in his truck to and from Delaware during the summer of 2002. As for the first Cd that Alex ever owned, that honor belongs to Chris Brown's Run It single that was gifted as a present for Christmas 2005. The first hip hop cd that Alex bough​t was Restless by Xzibit in the fall of 2007. From that point on, Alex began building a cd collection that consisted of old classics such as The Chronic by Dr. Dre and Fear Of Flying by Mya before starting over in 2009 due to the theft of his Cd collection.

 As far as influences go, the elements that contributed to Alex's style are too many to count. In regards to music, it can be best said that music from the 90's to the mid 2000's helped shaped his idea of what a good record is while the history of hip hop itself shaped Alex's desire to make music that the legends in hip hop would be proud of. In regards to fashion, the signature style of Alex Coleman was inspired by the inner city street wear of New York City. Tan Timberland boots, white low top casual shoes, high top basketball shoes, flat brim hats, loose fit jeans and cargo's, bold matching and contrasting colors sum up the overall style of Mr. Coleman. 

Lastly, the success that Alex achieves in hip hop and business will have a much bigger impact on an often ignored demographic of society: Those with mental illness'. Why is this so? Its because Alex J Coleman has bi polar disorder and has overcome many trials throughout his life even when the odds were stacked against him. 

The bottom line is this: The success of Alex J Coleman will do for the mentally ill what Barack Obama did for African Americans. If you don't get what that means, the message is that people with bi polar disorder, chronic depression, and other illness' will have concrete proof that massive success in life is attainable regardless of the perceived setbacks one has in their life.  #410sb
